Development, Advocacy and Gender

Development, Advocacy and Gender is a work stream of Accord’s programs that mainstreams gender and its related activities across line programs. This is an effort to giving a gender lens to all programs. Because women are drivers of development; investing in the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women will unlock an untapped potential, create a ripple effect and yield multiple benefits for the individual woman, her family, her community, and her nation.

Mission

Promote a peaceful society where no woman or man is disadvantaged by gender but feels empowered and supported to enjoy good health and wellbeing and contribute meaningfully to the economic prosperity of the community

• To inspire government actions and initiatives towards implementation of policies that promotes women and girl’s sexual and reproductive health and rights.
